Supporting vulnerable communities
The national-level lockdown has made communities vulnerable. Nayara Energy provided free groceries and essentials to over 17,000 families across the 15 villages surrounding its refinery at Vadinar. Each food packet consisted of 12 key grocery items including cooking oil, flour, rice, spices, and vegetables. Nayara Energy had dedicated volunteers to ensure the proper distribution of the food packets.

Supporting livelihoods
Nayara Energy also provided livelihood opportunities to the women in the communities surrounding our refinery. The company collaborated with the District Health Department in Devbhumi Dwarka district, Gujarat to fulfill the demand for more than 145,000 facemasks required for frontline workers. Under the aegis of Gramsamrudhi project, the company empowered over 250 women to produce these reusable facemasks from their homes by providing raw materials and stitching machines.
Supporting public health & sanitation
